The Oakland A’s are looking for a sweep! They’ve already got two this year, and now they have another chance against the last-place San Francisco Giants.
The first two games of the first installment of the 2020 Bay Bridge Series ended in dramatic comeback wins for the A’s. On Friday it was a five-run 9th inning comeback against Giants closer Trevor Gott, highlighted by a walk-off grand slam from Stephen Piscotty. On Saturday, Oakland was down by three in the 9th but scored four off Gott, including a three-run dinger by Mark Canha.
In the finale, Mike Fiers will be on the hill for the green and gold, looking to avenge his previous outing against the Angels, in which he was pulled in the 4th after allowing five runs.
