Being served meals on airplanes. The California Golden Seals. Mad Men. The entire decade known as the 1990s. Alas, all good things must come to an end. And so it was with the A's five-game win streak on Sunday afternoon.
Oakland starting pitcher Andrew Triggs had the game's opening batter, Jarrod Dyson, down in a 1-2 count. Unfortunately, this was the high-water mark for the A's. Triggs plunked Dyson with the next pitch. Dyson immediately stole second and came around to score on a Robison Cano single.
The second inning was better, and Triggs looked like he had settled in.
