Kendall Graveman pitched a solid game, giving up just one run in 5 2/3 innings. Rookie Chad Pinder hit his first big league HR. Bruce Maxwell knocked a clutch 9th inning opposite field RBI hit to give the team a chance. Other than that, it was a rather listless effort from a team down to its final series.
The A's 2016 season will be over soon. Aside from the excitement of some promising young players getting their feet wet, it will be an eminently forgettable year. Hopefully 2017 and beyond will bring brighter days. The good news is you see shining moments from players who should have a long future with the club.
