Game #105: Rangers Spoil Oakland Homecoming

After a somewhat disappointing road trip, the A’s returned home on Thursday night to face the struggling Rangers. It seemed like a perfect opportunity to get back on the horse after losing four of six, but atrocious pitching and sleepy hitting led to a good old fashioned dusting, with Texas prevailing 11-3.

A Hot Start

The A’s got off to as strong a start as they could have hoped for. After a scoreless top of the 1st, Oakland came up and managed to put three runs on the board; Ramón Laureano smoked a two-run single and Khris Davis brought home a run with a sacrifice fly.
