Fans have through July 5 to cast ballots for Midsummer Classic

DETROIT -- Jed Lowrie enjoyed a four-hit night in Motown, helping the A's erase a six-run deficit for a 9-7 win over the Tigers on Tuesday.

Lowrie homered for the second time in as many days and also notched the go-ahead single in the ninth following a pinch-hit double from Matt Joyce. The veteran second baseman, who later scored on a Dustin Fowler single, reached base in all five plate appearances.

The A's, who also overcame a three-run deficit in the final innings of Tuesday's opener, have scored the winning run in the eighth inning or later in seven of their 13 wins this month -- the latest moving them to 42-38 for a third-place standing ahead of the Angels in the American League West.
