It’s been 312 days since Oakland A’s fans found out the owner of their team intended to move their club to Las Vegas. And on the 312th day, those fans gathered to celebrate their team, in their city, in a way the owner hasn’t for years.
The two A’s fan groups, the Oakland 68s and Last Dive Bar, joined forces once again on Saturday for their biggest event yet, holding a “Fans Fest” at Oakland’s Jack London Square for thousands of their fellow A’s fans, Oakland natives, politicians and even ex-Athletic players.
