Good morning Athletics Nation! Happy Thursday to you all.
Oakland’s first winning streak came to an end yesterday as the club fell to the Rangers in the second game of the series. Unlike the first matchup this contest wasn’t particularly close as Ross Stripling got hit hard. It’s practically impossible to win when your starting pitcher allows 14 baserunners in just six innings of work and the club found that out first hand yesterday.
Off the field, the club got some relatively good news. Right-handed reliever Zach Jackson passed through waivers unclaimed and will remain in the organization, at least for now.
