The Oakland A’s had 10 free agents come off their roster at the end of the 2020 season, and one of them officially found a new home this week. The Detroit Tigers signed outfielder Robbie Grossman to a two-year, $10 million contract, reported by Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic and later confirmed by the team.
Grossman spent the last two seasons on the A’s, and built a promising resume on both sides of the ball. In 2019 he was a finalist for the Gold Glove in LF, and in 2020 he enjoyed a breakout at the plate that included a 126 wRC+ and a career-high .
