Elephant Rumblings: First sweep complete, A’s look to reach .500 mark

Happy Friday, Athletics Nation!

There are positive signs that the A’s are finding their way back to being competitive. The most recent indication is the sweep completed against the White Sox yesterday. While it is true that the Chicago Southsiders are looking like one of the worst teams in MLB again this year, the A’s positively dismantled them—scoring 23 runs to the Sox’s 4 in the latter’s own very cold and windy ballpark.

The A’s have struggled at their new ballpark in Sacramento, having been swept by the Cubs in their first home series, and subsequently losing three game series to both the Padres and Mets.
