Tuesday was a slow news day in baseball, but maybe that’s not so bad right now. It seems like every day in 2020 (both in MLB and the world overall) brings some kind of enormous development or scandal or imminent concern, and it gets exhausting after a while. We could all use a break sometimes.
Oakland A’s fans got that respite in our own right, as the A’s got shellacked in a 10-1 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. The game was over by the 2nd inning and around 4:00, and there was nothing long-term worrisome to dwell on about it, so the best move was to pretend it had actually been an off-day and take a walk or something (lol just kidding it was 104 degrees outside also).
