Happy Friday, Athletics Nation!
Lawrence Butler went 1-for-4 in yesterday’s loss to the Astros, extending his active hitting streak to 20 games. This gives him the fifth longest hitting streak in Oakland Athletics history, and the longest since Eric Byrnes hit in 22 consecutive games over 20 years ago.
Longest hitting streaks, Oakland A’s history:
Jason Giambi (1997) - 25
Miguel Tejada (2002) - 24
Carney Lansford (1984) - 24
Eric Byrnes (2003) - 22
LAWRENCE BUTLER (2024) - 20+
