ARLINGTON — Mike Fiers had his hoodie up, tightly hiding a work of art on his face for a big debut. A few minutes before his start at Globe Life Park, Fiers revealed his new spiraling facial hair, a beard/goatee that coiled around the side of his face.
Fiers wanted to update his beard look, and while scrolling indexes for some inspiration with some teammates he Google’d “funny beards” and landed on the cinnamon-roll look.
“Mid- September and just to give the guys a laugh,” Fiers said. “And I’m the guy they want to laugh at. So they dared me to do it.
