OAKLAND -- A's slugger Khris Davis collected home run No. 29 on Tuesday, giving him a Major League-leading eight since the All-Star break.
His latest blast came in the third inning against Blue Jays right-hander Sam Gaviglio, a solo shot traveling a projected 421 feet to center field.
Davis, who has more homers than any other player since the start of 2016 with 114, bumped his RBI total to 83 -- good for second-most in the American League. He's seeking his third consecutive 40-plus homer season.
