MESA, Ariz. - With expanded pre- and postgame shows on CSNCA this season, the A’s broadcast partner might be turning to several former Oakland players to help serve as analysts.
Among those on the CSNCA wish list, according to sources: left-handed starter Dallas Braden, the Stockton native who threw the 19th perfect game in big-league history; and outfielder Jonny Gomes, a key part of the A’s improbable run to the 2012 postseason.
Braden, a high-energy, entertaining TV presence, serves as a Baseball Tonight analyst for ESPN but it’s expected that he would be able to handle both duties; many ESPN, TBS and MLB Network analysts also work for teams.
