Crisp returns to A's after 10 weeks on DL

OAKLAND -- The A's reinstated outfielder Coco Crisp from the 60-day disabled list Monday and optioned outfielder Jake Smolinski to Triple-A Nashville.

Crisp, who who hadn't played a Major League game since May 19 due to a neck injury, hit .211 with two home runs and three RBIs in a five-game rehab assignment with Class A Advanced Stockton this past week. He was in the A's lineup Monday against the Orioles, batting second and playing left field.

A's manager Bob Melvin said Crisp will likely play again Tuesday and then take a day off Wednesday.
