ANAHEIM – A’s rookie Mark Canha is getting his first chance to travel with a major league club. That’s providing the self-proclaimed foodie a chance to sample the American League’s best cuisine.
Canha has started an Instagram page – bigleaguefoodie – where he provides a mini-review of some of the local establishments in whatever city the A’s might be playing. The goal is to hit at least one restaurant per city, preferably a place that is unique and representative of the city itself.
Chain establishments won’t get much love from the Oakland outfielder. And there’s a simple reason he started this endeavor.
