OAKLAND — The mood in the A’s clubhouse following their elimination from the playoffs at Yankee Stadium was anything but somber.
Matt Chapman, Khris Davis, and Blake Treinen held their heads up high, smiling as they answered questions just minutes following their 7-2 loss to the Yankees in Wednesday’s American League wild-card game.
The feeling and message amongst players postgame was that the A’s are a team on the rise, destined to reach the playoffs for years to come. And they should feel that way.
Chapman, Davis, and Treinen will all receive AL MVP votes this year, and are just three of the many exciting young players that give Oakland hope of a bright future.
