A's right-hander Trevor Cahill was placed on the 10-day disabled list on Thursday, retroactive to Monday, with a strained right achilles. Oakland recalled right-handers Chris Bassitt and Carlos Ramirez from Triple-A Nashville and optioned left-handed pitcher Danny Coulombe to Nashville.
