NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. -- On Bud Selig’s watch as commissioner, many teams got new ballparks, including the Giants, but the A’s keep waiting.
“You can’t finish everything. I think Rob (Manfred) will do that,” Selig said Monday at the winter meetings. “There’s an ownership change now. I think that’s a situation that will work itself out.
“I would not handle it any differently. Just some things in life take longer than others. A lot of people don’t understand that. I understand that.”
Selig was selected to the Hall of Fame on Sunday in voting by the Today’s Game Era Committee, an offshoot of the old Veterans Committee, along with long-time Braves executive John Schuerholz.
