OAKLAND -- A's right-hander Chris Bassitt, scratched from his Tuesday start against the Angels because of shoulder tightness, fully expects to pitch again this season.
Bassitt did not need an MRI exam, after he was told that he's simply dealing with ordinary discomfort that should subside with extra rest.
"Just discomfort in there and weak," Bassitt said on Tuesday afternoon. "It's the end of the year, everyone's tired, everyone's sore, I'm just a little bit more than normal. We just decided to get it strong again, get it stable again, and then go from there.
