OAKLAND — The A’s lost to the Texas Rangers, 8-3, on Sunday afternoon. They finished the season 52-27 at the Coliseum. With Tampa Bay’s loss to the Boston Red Sox, the A’s remain two games ahead for the first wild card spot.
Tanner Roark continued his rough stretch of games, allowing a career-high four home runs (five total), in a season-low three inning outing. Roark has a 9.69 ERA in his last three starts.
A.J. Puk gave up two runs in his one inning, and Ryan Buchter allowed a home run.
