The Oakland Athletics traveled to the Twin Cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul to take on the Minnesota Twins tonight. The A’s 25-year-old righty Luis Medina made his third appearance of the season facing 28-year-old Joe Ryan for the Twins.
The A’s got on the board first, in the top of the second inning when Miguel Andujar led off the inning with a walk, and then Tyler Soderstrum launched a rocket into the center field batter’s eye. Soderstrom’s fourth homer of the year gave the A’s a quick 2-0 lead. However, the lead didn’t last long as Max Kepler and Carlos Correa opened the inning with singles.
