OAKLAND — The Athletics have agreed to terms with their top two draft picks, shortstop Logan Davidson and right-handed pitcher Tyler Baum, the team announced Monday.
Davidson, a switch-hitter from Clemson, is scheduled to meet with the media and take batting practice before the Athletics begin a two-game series against the Baltimore Orioles at the Coliseum.
Terms were not disclosed, but according to MLB.com, Davidson’s slot (No. 29 overall) carries with a a value of $2.42 million. He was ranked as the No. 22 prospect in the draft according to Baseball America. Baum, a pitcher from North Carolina, was the 66th overall pick, which has a value of $1 million.
