The Oakland Athletics finally got a reprieve from their losing streak, albeit not at the hands of an actual victory. A rainout led to a much needed loss-less day the A’s can hopefully use to reverse their fortunes, starting with at least a split result in today’s doubleheader.
As a result of the postponement, the weekend’s pitching matchups got reversed. Instead of Joey Estes taking on Bailey Ober, as originally planned for Saturday, JP Sears will pick up that responsibility instead. Conversely, Estes will face Sears’ original opponent Chris Paddack.
The A’s lineup against Ober, however, won’t change.
