The time has come folks. What is likely to be the final Battle of the Bay between our Oakland Athletics and the rival San Francisco Giants gets underway this evening at the Coliseum for the first of two in what will be the final matchup between these two cities on a baseball field.
Getting the game started tonight will be right-hander Osvaldo Bido. The rookie has had an interesting season to date, first dominating in Triple-A before a call up to the majors, a finger injury, more time in the minors, and then finally getting a real chance to be a starting pitcher for the Athletics.
