ARLINGTON, Texas — With temperatures expected to be in the triple digits pregame for each of their four games against the Rangers this week, the A’s are trying to stay out of the heat as long as they can.
Pregame activities will be limited, including batting practice. The A’s hit on the field before Monday’s game, but have already decided to skip batting practice for Tuesday and Wednesday. The A’s will be facing left-handed starters the first three games of the series, making it an easy choice.
“They’re wearing shorts for BP today. I let them do that,” A’s manager Bob Melvin said.
