OAKLAND — Mike Fiers and Kendall Graveman were both considered key cogs of the A’s rotation at different times in 2018, but both will now be looking for new teams.
Just before Friday afternoon’s non-tender deadline, the A’s announced they will not be offering a contract to Fiers or Graveman, allowing the pair to become free agents.
Fiers, 33, was acquired by the A’s last August and was an integral part of the A’s run to the postseason. The right-hander finished the season going 12-8 with a 3.56 ERA over 31 games combined with Detroit and Oakland in the regular season, including a 5-2 record with a 3.
