CLEVELAND - His last time out, Sonny Gray put it all together in as good an outing as he’s had since 2015.
On Tuesday, Gray looked great the first time through the Indians’ lineup, but in the fourth inning, a leadoff walk and a bunt single fueled a Cleveland rally and in the fifth, things deteriorated further. Gray allowed seven runs in all, matching his career high in the A’s 9-4 loss to the Indians.
On the other side, Cleveland starter Trevor Bauer also had a career night, only in a positive vein for his club.
