MESA, Ariz. — Expect A’s spring training games to get a little more star-studded in the next week.
Matt Chapman, Khris Davis and Joakim Soria each participated in a simulated game over at the A’s minor league facility before Sunday’s 14-5 loss to the Royals.
Davis, who has been dealing with a left calf strain, faced new A’s reliever Joakim Soria, who has been slowed down by a right hip injury.
“He’s feeling better,” A’s manager Bob Melvin said of Davis. “We’re hopefully a little closer to getting him into games, but at this point it’s not a rush.
