OAKLAND -- This time, Khris Davis got the autograph. After taking time to chat with kids from the Make-A-Wish Foundation prior to Monday's game, the A's slugger was asked by one of them if they could sign Davis' jersey.
Davis didn't hesitate, not only allowing young Anthony Slocumb to pen his own name on the back of his uniform, but the designated hitter slugged his 37th homer of the season wearing the signed jersey as the A's built a 4-0 lead over the Rangers at the Coliseum.
Slocumb was among roughly a dozen Make-A-Wish kids hosted by the A's, who allowed them to take the field with the players for the national anthem.
