A’s select eight players on Day 2 of 2016 draft

OAKLAND -– The Oakland A’s selected eight players on Day 2 of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft, which featured rounds three through 10. The selections included catcher Sean Murphy (3^rd round, Wright State), right-handed pitcher Skylar Szynski (4^th, Penn HS), third baseman JaVon Shelby (5^th, Kentucky), right-handed pitcher Brandon Bailey (6^th, Gonzaga), center fielder Tyler Ramirez (7^th, North Carolina), left-handed pitcher Will Gilbert (8^th, North Carolina State), left-handed pitcher Dalton Sawyer (9^th, Minnesota) and right-handed pitcher Mitchell Jordan (10^th, Stetson).
