The Oakland A’s selected left-handed pitcher Brad Mills from Triple-A Nashville and optioned right-handed pitcher Arnold Leon to Nashville, the club announced on Friday.
To clear a spot on the 40-man roster, the A’s designated right-handed pitcher Taylor Thompson for assignment.
Mills is expected to start against the Orioles in Baltimore Friday afternoon.
He's pitched the entire 2015 season with Triple-A Nashville, posting a 4-11 record with a 4.45 ERA in 22 games, all starts.
