The A’s are making sure their key pieces from last year’s playoff run get paid.
The club announced Friday it has reached an agreement to avoid arbitration with Khris Davis, Marcus Semien, Mark Canha, Sean Manaea, and newcomer Jurickson Profar. The home run king of 2018, Davis will be rewarded with a $16.5 million salary, the highest ever given out to an A’s player over a single season since the $12.5 million given to Eric Chavez in 2010.
