OAKLAND -- Adam Rosales hit a walk-off, two-run single off Tigers closer Francisco Rodriguez to lift the A's to a 6-5 victory at the Coliseum on Saturday evening and even the three-game series.
The ninth-inning rally began with two outs, when Bruce Maxwell drew a walk, setting the stage for a Matt Joyce double that put runners on second and third for Rosales, who sent a line drive to left field to bring both runners home for a needed victory, with the A's having dropped nine of their previous 11 games.
