A's prospect Kyler Murray declares intent to 'fully commit' to NFL career

Nick Hundley is coming back to the Bay ... kind of.

The 35-year-old signed a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training the team announced on Monday:

A’s have signed catcher Nick Hundley to a minor league contract with an invitation to Major League #SpringTraining.

This means he's in the running to be the starting catcher with Josh Phegley and Chris Herrmann expected to platoon at the position.

A's general manager David Forst spoke on behalf of catchers in January where he even mentioned Beau Taylor having some experience and the young Sean Murphy who is getting close to making his big league debut.
