The A’s have the sixth best home record in the American League. For a team that’s 25 games out of first place, that says a couple of things.

No. 1, they’re nicely suited for the Coliseum.

No. 2, they’re beyond awful on the road.

The home schedule concludes with Wednesday’s matinee. The A’s are 45-35, a .563 winning percentage, after losing consecutive games to the Mariners.

Of the five teams better, four are heading to the playoffs (Red Sox, Yankees, Indians, Astros), and the other is the Orioles.

“That’s really been the constant for us this year,” manager Bob Melvin said.
