The Oakland A’s have gotten a few players back from injury lately, but now a new name is heading to the shelf.
The A’s placed right fielder Stephen Piscotty on the 10-day injured list Saturday morning, the team announced. The diagnosis is a sprained left wrist, retroactive to June 16.
To take his place on the active roster, fellow outfielder Skye Bolt was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas.
Piscotty has been “battling [the wrist injury] off and on since spring training,” reports Matt Kawahara of the S.F. Chronicle. He is off to see a specialist for a closer look, and he’ll get an MRI on Monday, notes Kawahara in the full writeup.
