MINNEAPOLIS - Sean Manaea became the final member of the A’s opening week rotation to be lost to an injury.
The A’s placed the left-hander on the 10-day DL with a shoulder impingement Sunday morning. Manaea has made every start this season, and he has been Oakland’s top starter much of the way, particularly in April, when he had a 1.03 ERA and threw a no-hitter against Boston.
Manaea has pitched at a reduced velocity for most of the past few months, working with a fastball that registers 89-92 mph rather than the 94-95 mph he’d enjoyed earlier in his career.
