MESA, Ariz. — He’s entering his 10th season in pro baseball, but Kenny Wilson is only 27.
“I feel old,” the nonroster outfielder cracked. “I was drafted at 18, so I feel like I’ve been around a while. It’s definitely made me stronger, that’s for sure.”
Wilson has yet to make it to the big leagues. He’s in camp with Oakland this spring, hoping this year he finally might get his shot.
“Some people peak later, it takes longer to put things together,” said A’s minor-league instructor Steve Scarsone, who managed Wilson at Triple-A Sacramento in three years ago.
