MESA, Ariz. — The A’s starting rotation battle is at a standstill as the A’s get set to take off for Japan in less than one week.
There is not much separating Frankie Montas, Jesús Luzardo Chris Bassitt, Paul Blackburn and Aaron Brooks right now. Each has made their case for earning that No. 5 starter job, but the A’s have not given a real clue as to who the frontrunner currently is.
