A’s lose another starter to injury: ‘It’s starting to get fairly significant’

MESA, Ariz. — Already lacking rotation depth, the A’s lost another starter to injury Thursday.

Paul Blackburn, penciled in as the fourth starter, will be sidelined indefinitely with forearm tightness. Manager Bob Melvin announced the news Thursday morning and acknowledged that the list of ailing arms is “starting to get fairly significant right now.”
