The A’s got their teeth knocked in for the second day in a row, losing to the Cleveland Guardians 12-5 in front of the home crowd.
Taking the mound today was rotation hopeful Osvaldo Bido. Making his third start of the spring, Bido got absolutely torched right from the get go. Cleveland scored four runs against the right-hander in the first, two in the second, one in the third and one in the fourth before he was finally, mercifully pulled from the game. Spring stats don’t mean much but today was not a good day for Bido at all, and he needs to bounce back next time out if he wants to stay in the competition for that fifth starter’s job.
