MESA, Ariz. - Khris Davis has banged 85 homers for the A’s the past two seasons, but his time in Oakland also has included two last-place finishes.
Davis wants that to change in 2018. “I want to win....a lot,” Davis said Thursday after working out at Hohokam Stadium. “I want us to win as much as possible.”
Oakland’s young core of players should help with that, and Davis likes the vibe they’re bringing. “We have a lot of good energy, it’s positive,” he said. “We have a lot of young guns. (Matt) Chapman is the ringleader, and I’m grateful I can help mold him, I know he looks up to me and I don’t have to be anything but myself with him.
