A’s Jesse Hahn progressing quickly in return from triceps strain

CLEVELAND - Jesse Hahn’s DL stint might be a fairly quick one, it appears.

The A’s starter, who was placed on the 10-day DL with a right triceps strain Saturday, is scheduled to pitch one inning at Class-A Stockton on Wednesday. He threw a bullpen session a few days ago, according to manager Bob Melvin, and “it went great.”

“He’s feeling a lot better,” Melvin said. “He responded pretty quickly.”

Hahn is likely to make at least one more rehab outing after Wednesday, but because he hasn’t missed much time, he won’t need to build his pitch count up from zero, so potentially could be back before the middle of June.
