A’s starter Jesse Hahn left Tuesday night’s game against Miami just two-plus innings in after a noticeable dip in velocity.

The team announced that Hahn exited with a right triceps strain.

Hahn showed no discomfort on the pitch before he exited, but after a trainer visited him on the mound with one on and no outs in the third, the right-hander came out and rookie Bobby Wahl took over.

Hahn usually throws his fastball in the 93-94 mph range and occasionally hits 95-95 mph. He threw six pitches in the third, five fastballs, and all registered 90 mph.
