OAKLAND – For the first time in well over a decade, the A’s held their FanFest at Jack London Square Saturday.
It was no accident. While the Warriors are building a new facility in San Francisco and the Raiders have one foot out the door in the direction of Las Vegas, the A’s are doubling down on Oakland, a city that by 2020 could be down to just Major League Baseball in terms of having a major team sport to call its own.
Built around the annual gathering of players have been commercials shoots at City Hall, at the Oakland Zoo and on the shores of Lake Merritt earlier this week.
