A’s general manager David Forst acknowledged Wednesday that the team dealt with some chemistry issues this season, though he didn’t blame that for Oakland’s last-place finish.
Speaking with host Jim Kozimor for a “Sports Talk Live” segment on CSN Bay Area, Forst was quizzed on the subject of clubhouse harmony throughout the A’s 68-94 campaign, which came on the heels of a major roster shuffle last winter.
“We brought in a bunch of new guys, no doubt, and I thought (manager) Bob (Melvin) did a fantastic job during the spring of preparing these guys and getting them together as a group,” Forst said.
