KANSAS CITY – The A’s return home for an extended homestand, and one of the first faces they will see will be that of Josh Reddick.
The long-time Oakland right fielder was traded to the Dodgers along with starter Rich Hill at the trading deadline last year. Jharel Cotton, the team’s No. 3 starter, and long reliever Frankie Montas are two of the pitchers the A’s got in return. A third, Grant Holmes, is in the starting rotation at Double-A Midland.
Reddick, who played for the A’s from 2012 through last Aug. 1, will see a team that has been largely made over – eight of the 25 men on the roster were not with the A’s when Reddick was last year, although one, Adam Rosales, had played for the A’s earlier in Reddick’s tenure.
