OAKLAND -- Marcus Semien was ejected for the first time in his life Saturday night. On Sunday, it was Stephen Piscotty's turn.
For the second straight game, umpire Alan Porter handed out a first career ejection to a normally mild-mannered A's player.
"That says a lot," Piscotty said after Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Astros. "Most umpires can kind of let you vent a little bit. He didn't. He didn't (last night)."
Piscotty was unhappy with a called third strike in the bottom of the 10th inning, but tensions had been building since his previous at-bat when he was called out on strikes in the eighth.
