OAKLAND -- Rain washed away Sunday's series finale between the host A's and Astros at the Coliseum, marking just the third postponement in Oakland in the last 19 seasons.
A makeup date has not yet been announced.
Oakland's rotation is unaffected, meaning Sunday's scheduled starter Jharel Cotton will pitch Monday against the Rangers in the 7:05 p.m. PT opener of a three-game series at the Coliseum. Right-handers Andrew Triggs and Jesse Hahn are also scheduled to pitch against Texas.
"With the workload that our guys have had, we'll just stay on turn with everybody," A's manager Bob Melvin said.
